Yes.. I'm still alive!

I have been a horrible blogger lately. Life has taken over, and I feel like this is the first time I've actually had a chance to catch my breath!
So, first for some updating. We are having a baby!! :) Baby Engler is planning to enter the world on Sept. 29th! We are so exciting and can't wait to be parents! :) Last Friday on John's birthday we had an appointment to hear the heartbeat. When we get to the dr. we were in for a shocker. She put her hand on my tummy and said "Oh, you aren't 12 weeks. You are either 16 weeks or having more than one baby!!" At this John about fell off his chair! So, after we heard the heartbeat of only one baby she wanted us to have an ultrasound. An hour later we were laying on the table meeting our baby! It was confirmed that there was only 1 baby and that we were only 12 weeks, my uterus was just bigger and up higher than normal. It was amazing to see our baby moving and dancing around! :) It was a pretty good birthday present for John :)

Now onto how this fabulous Friday unfolds itself:
Bre and I got up early with every intention to walk on the rail trail. She sends me a text saying "Do you know it's 20 degrees out?" We walked about 100 steps and decided that it might be better for us to just get coffee!! So, we decided to head to Grand Traverse Pie Co. for amazing breakfast sandwiches and coffee! :) After this we headed to the mall and found myself a new bag! Then I headed to my parents house and had my mom and I's specialty (tomatoes, zuchini, and squash over spaghetti!) We had a nice chat and now I'm home catching up on my Thursday television. In a bit I should start packing for our trip. We leave on Saturday for a week in Jamaica to spend time with some of our favorites :)
