Tomorrow I am starting a new housecleaning schedule. I am struggling as a new mommy that works full time along with keeping a home under control. I am so blessed that my husband helps out so much at home, but I still need to get a little organization going! So, I have been reading a couple blogs that have established housecleaning schedules and I am going to give it a whirl! I am being honest knowing that life gets out of control most of the time, so I am going to not be too hard on myself as I work on getting this set!
Mondays- bathroom
Tuesdays-Laundry
Wednesdays-kitchen
Thursdays- Laundry/bedrooms
Friday- day off!
Saturdays- pick a couple jobs around the house to work on
I have set this schedule because John has basketball games on Tuesdays and Fridays, so hopefully this will be most realistic for our lives. And the plan isn't to spend hours, but 45 minutes at most each day hoping that everything doesn't pile up all at once.
We'll see how it goes!

25 Reasons Why My Husband is the Greatest!
My husband's love language is words of affirmation, while mine is gifts. I sometimes struggle with sharing the words that are stored up in my heart, especially to my husband. And, since I thrive off making lists I figured this might be an easy way to let him know how I feel!
25. He eats my cooking, even if it's burnt or has no flavor.
24. He puts me to bed after I've taken Nyquil
23. He lets me pick what movie we go and see
22. He always wants to hold my hand
21. He is still fun to flirt with
20. He lets me hog the blankets at night
19. He calls me beautiful every day
18. He wants to make people better
17. He continually asks God for guidance in our relationship
16. He loves me unconditionally
15. He does laundry because he knows I hate doing it
14. He loves children...and has such a special way with them
13. He makes the best popcorn ever!
12. He is the greatest daddy for Isabelle
11. He gives the best hugs
10. He makes me feel safe
9. He loves my friends like his own
8. He puts up with my corny ideas
7. He lets me cheer for Peyton Manning
6. He knows when I mean "yes" even though I say "no"
5. He laughs at my jokes...no matter how many times he's heard them
4. He has a heart for helping others
3. He loves my family
2. He makes me better every single day
1. He is my best friend :)

Yes.. I'm still alive!
I have been a horrible blogger lately. Life has taken over, and I feel like this is the first time I've actually had a chance to catch my breath!
So, first for some updating. We are having a baby!! :) Baby Engler is planning to enter the world on Sept. 29th! We are so exciting and can't wait to be parents! :) Last Friday on John's birthday we had an appointment to hear the heartbeat. When we get to the dr. we were in for a shocker. She put her hand on my tummy and said "Oh, you aren't 12 weeks. You are either 16 weeks or having more than one baby!!" At this John about fell off his chair! So, after we heard the heartbeat of only one baby she wanted us to have an ultrasound. An hour later we were laying on the table meeting our baby! It was confirmed that there was only 1 baby and that we were only 12 weeks, my uterus was just bigger and up higher than normal. It was amazing to see our baby moving and dancing around! :) It was a pretty good birthday present for John :)
Now onto how this fabulous Friday unfolds itself:
Bre and I got up early with every intention to walk on the rail trail. She sends me a text saying "Do you know it's 20 degrees out?" We walked about 100 steps and decided that it might be better for us to just get coffee!! So, we decided to head to Grand Traverse Pie Co. for amazing breakfast sandwiches and coffee! :) After this we headed to the mall and found myself a new bag! Then I headed to my parents house and had my mom and I's specialty (tomatoes, zuchini, and squash over spaghetti!) We had a nice chat and now I'm home catching up on my Thursday television. In a bit I should start packing for our trip. We leave on Saturday for a week in Jamaica to spend time with some of our favorites :)
Happy Friday :)

New Post for the New Year!
I haven't been able to catch up on my blogging in the past couple of weeks so I'm taking advantage of the few extra minutes this morning!
I have thought hard about some resolutions for 2010. I want them to be things that I stick to and that are doable!
~ Dig deeper into God's word...quote it, use it, and fall in love with it!
~Stick to my budget...clip coupons, focus on things we need (with an occasional want) :)
~Make sure to be working out at least 3 times a week
~Practice patience and compassion more to those I know and those I don't
So far, so good! :)
This weekend was a busy time surrounded by friends! John's best friend was home and we had our share of boy's nights! I enjoyed making them breakfast and sharing laughs with them. My husband is lucky to have some good guys :)
Well...it's Monday so I need to go get my workout in before I head to work!
Hope your week gets off to a good start :)

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!
Now that the sickness is finally gone from my body....for a few months, it's time to get ready for Christmas!
We put our first tree in our house up and it was fun to have our own ornaments! :)
I took pictures of a few of my favorites!
This was a wedding gift!
This was an ornament that my grandma made me a long time ago!
I bought this one for John this year.. I want to start the tradition of getting an ornament each year to celebrate something we've done in the past year.
More to come later... my coffee cup is empty and it's almost time to go to work!!
